Ruth joined the firm as a newly qualified solicitor in 2005 and has since that time gained considerable experience handling all matters relating to corporate insolvency. She has a particular proficiency in property matters. Despite her leaning towards non-contentious matters, in common with all members of the firm, Ruth is equally able to conduct litigation matters so that she can service all of the legal requirements of clients throughout a commercial transaction or insolvency appointment.
Ruth advises Insolvency Practitioners in connection with the sale and purchase of businesses and assets and often turns the tables to act for those acquiring out of insolvency. In view of her broad experience Ruth is well versed in advising regarding all aspects of such transactions including:
- leasehold and freehold property
- intellectual property
- banking and commercial finance
- guarantees and indemnities
- retention of title
- warranty and product liability
Ruth also advises clients in relation to corporate restructuring, particularly schemes under section 110 of the Insolvency Act 1986.
Away from the office…
